This Day Is Over

and now you can let it go—

Like seeds of the dandelion,

you can let it float over the wild grasses, and the pond—

let it float and take root on some other hill,

so it might swell from the moist soil and make someone else

happy.

The time you shared together has lifted over the wild grasses—

and the mallards floating gracefully

on the pond.

And now—        you can let it go . . .
